| We had an amazing time with Avi, Corine, Matan, Ruti, Yaffa and Kobi - the families from Sderot, Israel. Our week was spent with these victims who were physically disabled from Kassam rockets of terrorists. From the first day, their hearts were very open and grateful to receive the love and blessings we could share during the week we spent together. Each day the level of trust and respect grew for one another. For me personally, the highlight of our time was being able to share what the Messianic scriptures in the Tenach (Old Testament) mean to us as believers. It was a true blessing to read Isaiah 53 together in Hebrew. We were able to share with the group that we believe this is speaking of Yeshua, the Messiah, and that it pleased God, the Father, to lay on Him all of our iniquities so we may be forgiven. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed… Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors. (Isa 53:4-5, 12b)
Despite their disabilities, we were on the go everyday. We took many walks in the mountain countryside of Switzerland. Visiting the Great Synagogue in Basel We visited many historical Jewish sites including the Great Synagogue (built in 1850) in Basel and the museum of European Jewish Diaspora.
